Nature enthusiasts will LOVE to hear that the Long Point Provincial Park and Bird Observatory are less than a 5-minute walk away. We also provide a Provincial Park Pass you’re welcome to use as our guest to park your vehicle on-site at the park. Please refer to our ‘Additional Rules’ section for more details. Among our many amenities, enjoy the experience of a curbless shower design that eliminates barriers, providing a seamless entry for guests of all ages and abilities. With a built-in safety handrail strategically placed to provide additional support, you’ll be able to assist yourself up from the built-in shower bench with ease. Families traveling with an infant will be excited to know we supply a folding high chair (as well as booster seat), a pack n’ play with bassinet, an umbrella stroller, bed rail, baby bathtub, and baby bowls and utensils. Let us know 48 hours or more in advance and we will gladly assemble the pack n’ play before you arrive. Last but not least, if you would like to elevate your stay at our relaxing 3-bedroom retreat, there is an exclusive ‘Bedroom Upgrade’ option, where you can upgrade to a 4-bedroom haven for the duration of your visit. PART ONE ADHERENCE TO LOCAL BY-LAWS AND REGULATIONS We try to ensure the safest environment possible for our guests. Guests must check and comply with local laws and regulations regarding the following topics: Norfolk County By-Laws Local by-laws such as noise ordinances, garbage & recycling requirements, and the use of recreational fires need to be adhered to during a guest's stay. Adherence to Provincial Park Alerts and Advisories As part of your experience, we would like to draw your attention to the importance of adhering to alerts and advisories issued by provincial parks during your stay such as fire bands, weather alerts, and park regulations. Fireworks Safety Rules: The safety of our guests, neighbors, and the property itself is our utmost priority. Fireworks are prohibited from use on the property. Penalties for Violation: Violation of this policy may result in additional charges or termination of your stay. Any damages caused by negligence or improper use of the facilities will be the responsibility of the guest. _______________________________________ PART TWO PET POLICY: SAFETY RULES AND GUIDELINES While we happily welcome pets to our vacation rental, please note that we do not have a fenced yard. To ensure the safety and well-being of your furry friends, we kindly request that you observe the following guidelines: Leash Requirement: For the safety of your pet and others, please keep your pet on a leash when outdoors. Supervision: Always supervise your pet when they are in the yard. This is especially important if there are other guests, neighbors, or wildlife nearby. Escape Prevention: Be mindful of open doors, and ensure your pet does not have the opportunity to wander away from the property. Wildlife Caution: In rural areas like ours, there may be wildlife present. Keep a close eye on your pet to prevent any interactions with local wildlife. Noise Consideration: Be mindful of your pet's noise. According to Norfolk County by-law persistent barking, calling, whining, squawking, or other similar persistent noise made by any domestic pet or any other animal is prohibited at all times. Pet Fee: A [specified amount] non-refundable pet fee will be charged per stay to cover additional cleaning and maintenance costs. Pet Waste: Responsible pet ownership is appreciated. Dispose of pet waste in provided waste bins, and notify us if any accidents occur inside the property for prompt cleanup. Furniture and Bedding: Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding. Please use the designated pet beds provided. Damages: Any damages caused by pets will be assessed, and repair costs will be charged accordingly. These guidelines are in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your stay and that of other guests. Avoid parking in flower beds or areas marked as off-limits. Distance from Property: Park boats a reasonable distance from the cottage to prevent damage to the building and landscaping. Oil and Fueling any fueling or maintenance activities on the lawn. Use designated areas or take the boat to a marina for such activities. Cleanup Responsibly: Be mindful of any debris or materials that may fall from the boat during parking. Clean up any spills or litter promptly. Boat Size Consideration: Ensure the boat is parked in a manner that accommodates the size of the lawn and other guests. Local Regulations: Familiarize yourself with any local regulations regarding boat parking and adhere to them during your stay. By following these guidelines, you contribute to the safety and aesthetic appeal of our property. These areas are not designed for guest use. Locked Cabinets and Closets: Some cabinets and closets may be locked or marked as private. We appreciate your understanding and request that you refrain from attempting to open or access these areas. Why These Restrictions? Safety: Some areas may contain equipment, tools, or utilities that could pose a safety risk to guests.
